The Beauty of Women

Beauty can be defined as the looks a person has or portrays. Most women start to get ready to go out of the house anywhere from two to three hours before they need to leave. The disciplinary body practices start here. We shower, dry our hair, curl or straighten our hair, put makeup on, pick out a nice attractive outfit, decide on what jewelry and finally pick out the perfect pair of shoes to wear. This hour’s long process is just to show the world that we can put up a front to try and fit in.

To everyone, beauty is classified as a different aspect that is associated with their identity. Whether it is the physical characteristics of a person or maybe their personality and heart, beauty can vary across the world. Globally we can learn the differences in the visions of what beauty really is. Some cultures think that women that bear child are beautiful; some cultures believe that smaller feet are more beautiful, while some cultures believe that a tall underweight woman is beautiful. The oppression women all over the world are experiencing can be pointed at the unreachable picture of one centralized beautiful being. Women strive to uphold their ideas of beauty around the world which can cause much pain and suffering just to obtain a label of being beautiful.

The United States defiantly has a crazed sense of wanting to make everyone seem like they are not good enough. The media displays a somewhat unobtainable model of the perfect human being which makes everyone stop and look in the mirror and say what can I do to look like that. In The Penguin Atlas of Women in the World, the author Joni Seager defines this perfect being as the “white, Western standard of beauty” (pg. 52). From the portrayal of this state of beauty the minds of young girls are starting to wonder and question what kind of beauty they have if they do not look like the women on TV. To see the figures associated with young girls and how they want to change their bodies to seem beautiful is really a depressing thought. In statistics from 2002 from the United States, 42% of girls in grades 1-3 wanted to be thinner, 81% of 10-year-old girls were afraid of being fat, and 80% of 13-year-olds attempted to lose weight (Seager pg. 52). To think that young girls already think they are not beautiful and need to change their appearance to be beautiful really upsets me. To know that we support the media and the way they portray beauty for women really should make us think about what we really believe.

Tall, very thin, young, and blemish free women is what appears on all the modern magazines that women of all ages pick up to read. These magazines may have some motivational stories or nice pictures to look at but really it’s a slap in the face to the reader. There is usually some kind of diet thrown in the magazine and maybe some exercises that are there because we all need to lose weight right? And the makeup advertisements show these beautiful women that need the makeup to be beautiful, so we defiantly need it right? Wrong. Beauty is not just skin deep. This may be a cliché but it serves a good purpose. Women have the right to feel beautiful just the way they are, without makeup or dressed nicely. You’re body weight should not matter, nor you’re body shape, nor the color of your skin, nor the way your nose, ears, mouth, or eyes look. To look deep into a woman, much can be learned about her true beauty.

Inside a woman we may see compassion, or sincerity, or love, or openness. A woman’s heart and soul is the ultimate gift that women give to society. But in today’s society that is always overlooked. To see a true woman and her beauty, take time and talk to her. Get to know her and see how much love she has to offer or how understanding she is. If we would stop focusing all of our attention on the looks of women and the cosmetic aspect and understand that real beauty is more than that, we could really see the worth of all women. Some companies are finally starting to use real women as models for their product instead of the typical “perfect” woman. But they still are not quite getting the point. EVERY woman is beautiful no matter the color of her skin, eyes, nail polish, hair, or shoes. Every woman has a story that will bring tears to yours eyes due to the oppression they have experienced for just being another sex besides male. If we could just show that all women are beautiful in their own way the world would be a greater place to live. Next time you talk to woman, whether it be your mom, grandma, teacher, or just a stranger, remind them that they play a role in this society and their beauty shines on in this dark society.

Inner Beauty

You often hear, “what you feel on the inside translates to the outside.” The beauty that flows throughout you relates to how you carry yourself. If you are feeling fabulous, it shows through your smile and carries through to your posture.

I never used to wear makeup before, but I do now. When I was going through chemotherapy and radiation, I felt terrible. One day, a few of us ladies went to a makeup session given by the local hospital; the American Cancer Society furnished the makeup for cancer patients. I felt terrible, but just putting on a little bit of makeup made me feel so much better about myself. The other women and I shared stories and laughter, and it was truly an uplifting experience. It would have been so much easier to just pull the covers over my head and lay in bed, but I forced myself to go, and I’m so glad I did.

Beauty is what you feel; sure we can enhance our beauty by expressing ourselves through different styles or by simply putting on a favorite fragrance. Ultimately what you feel on the inside will shine through on the outside. Beauty lies in all shapes, sizes, colors and nationalities. There is not one standard for beauty. Beauty is a state of being; it is how you feel inside portraying on the outside. The color of your skin is your beauty, the size that you are is your beauty and the way you carry yourself is your beauty.

You don’t have to spend a lot of money to be beautiful; you are enhancing the beauty that you already have. You have to be comfortable with who you are as a person and that beauty will shine through.

Beauty on the inside goes hand in hand with the beauty you reflect on the outside. If you feel kind of blah, you can put makeup on and wear a nice outfit and it will make you feel better because you look better. Putting on your favorite shoes or adding the perfect accessories to your outfit will put a big smile on your face. You are enhancing the beauty that you already possess.

Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. There is beauty everywhere and in everyone, it is up to you to see it. As a society who is obsessed with beauty we tend to stray away from natural beauty. We sometimes tend to examine ourselves so thoroughly that our list of flaws continues to grow. They are not flaws; it is the body that God gave us and he made all of us different. Appreciate the body you are given, nourish it, keep it fit and it will last a long time. Some will run out and have an operation to fix something while others are fine with the same thing. It is a personal choice and it all reflects on how we feel about ourselves. There is no right or wrong, it is about what makes you happy.

Beauty in Imperfection

According to some people, beauty is the product of a pleasing appearance and good taste, and by the dimensions of all the parts being duly proportioned to each other. However, we failed to realize that women who stay true to themselves are always more interesting and beautiful.

Aside from that, character contributes to beauty. A mode of conduct, a standard of courage, discipline, fortitude, and integrity can do a great deal to make a woman beautiful. Beauty will come of its own accord if we think what is useful and not what is beautiful.

Moreover, we do not have to compare ourselves to other people since beauty is not enough, there must be something more. Having inner beauty for instance, is something we need to develop on our own.

It’s a pity that others find beauty very important. It is even frightening to have such notion because physical beauty in only temporary. We do not even realized that sometimes people build their lives based on the principles of beauty in spite of the times of distress. What a shallow-minded individual that is!

We need to love ourselves. It is essential for us to stay positive because beauty comes from the inside out not matter what our outer appearance is. Beauty is only a means of self-affirmation, a true indicator of personality and confidence.

In fact, a witty woman is a treasure even without physical glamour. Intellect alone can make a woman beautiful because physical beauty is only temporary unlike the mind which can last a lifetime.

Looking beautiful isn’t just about what we apply on our face. It’s the little things we do that matter. It is not just about what we do on the outside but also what we put into the inside. This empowers us to find beauty in places where others have not dared to look, including inside ourselves. This is what makes us peculiar and unique.

Beauty is how we feel inside, and how it reflects in our eyes. It is not something physical. It is just a matter of perception and not about make-up. I believe that the beginning of all beauty is knowing and liking oneself. It’s good to embrace and accept our imperfections to make us beautiful inside.

I always believe that if we feel good about ourselves and look happy, we’re always going to be beautiful. In fact, it’s our aura and how we perceive life as it is makes us more attractive and appealing.

This is an article to uplift our souls from any stress and burden we have in our lives at the moment.

All About Beauty

Beauty is not skin deep. It’s attitude that separates the beauty from the crowd. “Looking at beauty in the world, is the first step of purifying the mind.” The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a woman is seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place where love resides. True beauty in a woman is reflected in her soul. A woman whose smile is open and whose expression is glad has a kind of beauty no matter what she wears. All women are beautiful, regardless of their looks. You just need to touch their soul with respect and appreciation for their inner beauty and you will be rewarded with joy. The heart is way more important than the package.

I love natural beauty, and I think it’s your best look, but I think makeup as an artist is so trans-formative. I would never like to endorse a fairness cream. I believe in natural beauty.

True beauty can’t shine through make-up. Many of us can’t even imagine our life without makeup. It sounds strange and even scary for many girls, thanks to media popularization of unrealistic beauty standards. To be beautiful without makeup?! Is it even possible?!

For many of us it would be a big nonsense even to go to a supermarket with no makeup on.

Media often forces us to believe that a woman with no makeup on can’t actually look somewhat attractive or beautiful.

If someone wants to live a makeup-free life, or at least to be able to have makeup-free days, then it makes sense to put a little bit more effort into caring about the natural beauty of your face, hair and body.

1) Feel beautiful (even without makeup)
Yes, first step to natural, makeup-free beauty is connected with your inner perception of yourself – your self image. If a girl considers herself beautiful and is able to accept herself totally and unconditionally, then the whole world will feel the same about her. Yes, it’s that simple!
But if you don’t feel comfortable and confident about yourself with no makeup on, try to adapt the new ‘natural’ image gradually.

2) Your skin is your everything!
If you decide to lead a makeup-free life, it doesn’t mean that you need to completely let go of all skin care products. Many skin problems are actually related to the excessive use of makeup; skin tone becomes uneven because of the reaction of your body on a foundation, concealer or blush. If skin problems persist, get a professional advice of a dermatologist; it’s better to treat the problem straight away, than to put it on hold into a waiting box. Some other tips for the beauty of your skin include: use facial masks 2 or 3 times a week (choose masks according to your skin type), and exfoliate your skin regularly (we are not only talking about exfoliating your facial skin, exfoliate your whole body.

3) Healthy eating and water
Good food is important not only for the beauty of our skin, but also for the overall health of our body.

We are what we eat, therefore healthy and balanced diet should be our faithful, lifelong friend.

Make sure you eat fresh fruits and vegetables every day, as well as healthy fats and proteins; these are so important for our beauty.

And, of course, our best friend is water! Try to drink about 8 glasses of water a day and also treat yourself with a green or white tea from time to time, because these are rich in antioxidants and will help your skin look fresh and young for a very long time, even without makeup.

4) Smile and love yourself
Smile will instantly help you to feel and look pretty, even if you don’t have any makeup on!

As Audrey Hepburn once said: “The prettiest girl is the happiest one!” Smile every time you look in the mirror, smile to people you see on the street and, in general, let smile be your favorite accessory – you will see how the whole world will start smiling back at you!

Love yourself. Accept yourself fully and completely. Love the way you look with or without makeup, because you are truly unique and beautiful! Remember it!

5) What about your hair?
If you want to look pretty with no makeup on – it’s important to take a good care of your hair and keep your hair color close to natural.

Try to keep your hair in great condition by using right hair care products that are suitable for your hair type, and do hair masks and oil treatments regularly. Nothing can be more beautiful than silky and shiny locks!

It became our daily ritual to wake up early and put on our “beautiful” makeup mask.

In this article, we don’t suggest that you completely let go and forget about taking care of yourself; on the contrary,

How do you feel about yourself inside? It all depends on you. Try to feel beautiful. Yes. Right now, in this very moment… Know that you are pretty!

The Mirror of Beauty

The probe of human mind has marked every inch of success but the art of drawing parallels for what beauty is, has remained a great mystery. For some philosophers, beauty is the degree of attraction and admiration, provoked in an observer. But it is argued that the same beauty does not affect everyone the same way. It varies dramatically. A few think thanks have defined it as a degree of perfection, but perfection in one field may not be of any interest to an observer. So beauty is very difficult to explain fully, but it may be said that it is a game of comparison. Suppose there is only one woman in the world, now question is whether she is beautiful or not. The answer unambiguously is that you can’t say anything because you don’t have another woman to compare with.

But sailing beyond the ocean of imagination, one realizes that there is a factor that determines the degree of beauty, i.e. a personal dictionary, which translates the mortals and assigns degree of beauty. The holy words of human history will peep out from the gale of truth and will strongly proclaim that Juliet was a goddess for a Romeo a god for her and rest, the particles of dust. Heer for ranjha was enough, and he for her, to lead whole their life together with few straws of love. But remember, if all the lovers of the world of the world are invited to a party to ask who amongst all is the most beautiful, they certainly shall stamp the claim of beauty on the hearts and souls of their own beloved which indeed is not their narrow-mindedness but a natural fact that ‘beauty lies in the eyes of beholder’.

One day a great historian whispered in my ears a story…
‘once upon a time there was king so fond of beauty that he called his most loyal and faithful negro slave and ordered him to go from east to west and from north to south and fetch him such a paragon of beauty that neither moon would have risen with such splendors nor the oysters of ocean would have given birth to such magnificent pearls; neither ladies of paradise would have looked so charming not the preachers of beauty would have been able to give such bewitching example, neither any artist would have created such mind blowing portrait nor a poet from the depth of his imagination would have been able to compose such riveting verse; neither any dove would have its pinion soar such marvelously not the Aphrodite would have marked such excellence. And if I say for her that she is the most beautiful spirit God ever created, then the claimants of beauty should have said:’ we are like lumps of coal in a mine and she a diamond among us.’ So, go my man whose head crown of my faith rests, on whose shoulders stars of firm belief shine and on whose chest medals of sure obedience are stamped. Go and present me the beauty that should be praised and witnessed by the twinkling stars.’

The negro servant bowed down and went away calmly to the peaks from where the sun pierced its shining fingers into the dark curtains of night, from where Shakespeare and Shelley enjoyed drinks of inspiration, from where the portrait of Mona Liza was found and from where moon extracts its gleaming light; and thus he went through plains to mountains, through valleys to deserts, through unfathomable cares to celestial cities and through each and every inch of this world where life seemed breathing.

After indefatigable efforts, he went to the king, presented him what seemed the goddess of beauty to him, his Negro daughter. At this, the king asked,
‘did you not find any soul more beautiful than this?’

He kept silent for a while, then raised his head and said:
‘Your Excellency, my blood shall be showered in your feet if I speak but the truth. You asked me to bring Aphrodite but I brought my Negro daughter; the reason was my loyalty. Your Excellency, for you her black complexion may seem coal in the dark but for me it is as beautiful as back rose or a diamond. To you her dry hair may look like that of a witch of some old myth dancing in woods but for me her hair is no less than the curtains of paradise. To you her wrinkled hands may seem as a deserted sight of this land but to me they seem as gods, to cope up the world’s fate in it has sketched these lines on it. To you her eyes may seem as those of angels when embodying eyes have mistaken but to me success. To you her wide nose may seem as dark, unfathomable caves of stone ages but to me it is no less than Noah’s Ark. Therefore, Your Excellency, my obedience and loyalty to you compelled me to bring my daughter to you.’

Then the historian smiled and said, ‘Yes! Beauty lies in the eyes of beholder.’

In quest of defining and explaining the beauty, two schools of thought have emerged so far. One proclaims importance of inner beauty and the other preaches the pleasure presented by worldly beauties. But in fact all beautiful things are not necessarily good, charming and attractive but all good and true things are always beautiful. Therefore, it is well said by Keats:

Beauty is truth, truth beauty,
That’s all ye know on earth
And all ye need to know.’

The school of thought preaching inner beauty bore these words on the preface of its textbook:

‘History is evident that the world has given birth to many worldly beauties which only could help to quench the thirst of people and awake beast in them. Many beauties passed by without any notice but the beauty of soul and conscience has claimed triumph over hearts of millions and marked its eternal existence. The people blessed with purity of soul, truthfulness of their conscience, goodness of their deeds and firmness of their faith have succeeded to scratch their name on the forehead of this earth and lead their nation to the peals of glory. And thus they are still breathing in the hearts of many mortals. Nobody asks whether Aristotle was handsome or not, whether Alexander was strong tall in stature or not and whether Anarkali when buried alive inside the walls posed like a queen or not. People do not ask such questions, but everybody does ask that how they climbed to success inch by inch. The open secret of their success, in fact, is their character, behavior, determination, zeal and enthusiasm which contributed towards their success and inner beauty.’

On the contrary, the school of thought preaching worldly beauty is thanking his God in these words:

‘Thanks my God, for you have blessed us such beauties, whose single glance shuns off our day-long tiredness, whose heart may prove as a place of eternal peace to our souls, whose sight reminds us of your Excellence. Thanks my God, you have bestowed upon us such beauty, the wish to achieve, which proves a source of fuel for our body, mind and soul. This beauty has decorated this terrifying and worthless world; and it cheers us up when we are cooped in the cells of gloom, worries and misfortunes. Oh God! Really the beauty that you have blessed us with is a source of living in this frightful world.’

In fact, since the creation of this universe, beauty has been neglected and stigmas of frailty have been marked on its forehead. Beauty seems to be an emblem of nothing but thirst rubbing machine. Those who dwell in this world have been really mistaken in understanding the true beauty. When the beauty reigns its lost crown these mortals will see with their eyes open and sense smelling the truth that worldly beauty was just a mirage. Praise be to the Lord, who gifted us these praiseworthy inner beauties which indeed enabled mankind to kindle flames of love even in the dark. And, therefore, we must stop lauding the beauty only. We should also extol its creator, the Almighty GOD.

NAVEED AHMED CHANDIO, A person with bundles of knots to untie. The thinking fuel for him has been love, beauty and the inner rebelion. Most of the times, he would prefere to let the things be interwoven for the beauty of life remains in having some reason to fulfil. He is a fairly good student of Nature and feels proud of it. The unthoughtfulness, cruelity, trachery and hatred are few things that he never liked or perhaps he never got aware of. Naveed chandio lives in karachi, Pakistan.

A Beautiful Face

Beauty has always held a supreme position in our world. Beauty is one of the great creations of the God which force us to get attracted towards it. During the journey of our life, we came across many beautiful faces. However there are some few faces among all these which are able to create strange attentions for them. Mostly these faces are of women because around the world women are associated with beauty more than men. A beautiful face could be one which we say love at first sight. Love at first sight is nothing but an untimely strong attraction towards a particular beautiful face in the first instance.

Those individuals in the world who claim love at first sight must have seen some these types of faces. A beautiful face has the power to affect us from the deeper levels in the first incidence. Exceptional beauties in this world are beyond the thinking and imaginary power of the human being. Therefore we all feel very attracted towards these faces at the first instance because these faces a challenge over creativity. Due to this reason, we find many painters painting the pictures of beautiful women and trying to make them even more beautiful so that they can satisfy their lust of supremacy.

Second important thing is that beauty is a natural phenomenon and it is natural for any person to get attracted towards a beautiful object. Mostly we all share the same perception for the beauty and due to this a beautiful person is beautiful to all. A beautiful face is a distinguished asset for the person but still may be a big curse at the same time. A beautiful face is a great asset as it allows the person holding beauty to attract many people towards itself like a strong magnet pulls many small iron pieces towards itself. More strong the beauty, more attractions it will have. Mostly these people are given a lot of importance and privilege in the society.

However simultaneously this beauty also have some of the major side effects associated with it. Due to this strong attraction, this beauty attracts many unwanted people or circumstances which have the power of completely changing the life of person who holds beauty. Second due to the lot of rush and hassle, the beautiful person may lose his personal space. Third beauty can start overshadowing the intellectual and forcing person to take decisions as per his or her beauty. These are some of the good and negative aspects of having a beautiful face. However it depends upon the person who holds beauty to adopt the paths of his life and allowing how much interference in life.
